Autumn is the season of crisp mornings, golden leaves and, of course, apples. One of the highlights of the local calendar is Apple Day at Cressing Temple Barns, a wonderful celebration of this much loved fruit set within the grounds of one of Essex’s most historic sites.

Admission: £4 per adult (under 18s free). Tickets are payable at the door and free parking is available on site.

A Day of Apple-Themed Fun

Apple Day is a chance to enjoy the best of the season with plenty to see, do and taste. Visitors can look forward to:

• Heritage apple displays and the chance to have your own apples identified

• Traditional apple pressing and juicing demonstrations

• Expert advice on fruit growing and tree care

• Local produce stalls, including cider, honey and crafts

• Live music, dancing, children’s activities and a garden trail

• Medieval re-enactments, willow crafts and Gemma’s Farm mobile petting zoo

It’s a lively day out for all ages, blending seasonal flavours with local history and countryside charm.

The Barns Tea Room Will Be Open

While you’re here, don’t forget to visit The Barns Tiptree Tea Room at Cressing Temple. We’ll be open throughout the day, offering a delicious range of breakfasts, light lunches, cakes and, of course, our famous cream teas.
