This year, we marked the occasion in the most delightful way, enjoying a scrumptious combination of flavours that elevated the humble slice of toast to a whole new level.

At The Essex Rose, guests savoured a mouth-watering Blackberry, Tiptree Blackberry Jelly, Brie & Watercress sandwich, where the rich creaminess of the brie perfectly balanced the tart sweetness of the blackberry jelly, all rounded off with the fresh bite of watercress. Alongside, we couldn’t resist a classic Tiptree Tawny Marmalade on toast, where the deep, citrusy flavours of this famous preserve shone on a crisp, buttery slice.

Meanwhile, over at Tiptree, the celebration continued with another selection of irresistible toast-based treats. The highlight was a Sliced Bloomer Toasted, topped with Tiptree Chilli Chutney, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and basil marinated in a balsamic glaze, served with fresh mozzarella and basil. This savoury delight offered the perfect balance of spice, sweetness, and creaminess—an unforgettable bite!
