Meet Archie, The 7 Year Old Inspiring the Next Generation of Growers

We were delighted to welcome Archie from Archie’s Veg & Eggs to Tiptree Farm recently. Although he’s only seven years old, Archie already has a remarkable passion for farming and growing his own food.

At home, Archie looks after a small collection of animals including geese, turkeys and ducks. He also keeps his own beehive and grows a wide range of fruit and vegetables in his garden. Despite not coming from a farming background, Archie has developed a real enthusiasm for agriculture and is already learning what it takes to care for animals and grow food.

What makes Archie particularly inspiring is his mission to encourage other children to get involved in growing their own produce. Through Archie’s Veg & Eggs, he hopes to inspire young people to spend more time outdoors, learn where their food comes from, and discover the enjoyment of growing it themselves.

During his visit to Tiptree Farm, Archie enjoyed a guided behind-the-scenes tour with Dan. He had the opportunity to learn more about how we grow our strawberries and the steps we take to farm sustainably. It was a great chance for Archie to see how fruit is grown on a larger scale and ask plenty of questions along the way.

After exploring the farm, Archie visited the Tiptree Tea Room for a well-earned lunch before finishing his day with a trip to the Jam Shop. There he could see how the fruit grown on our farms eventually becomes the jams and products enjoyed by so many people, a true journey from farm to table.

It was a pleasure to welcome Archie to the farm and hear about everything he is doing to inspire others to start growing their own food.

Make sure to follow Archie’s Veg & Eggs to support his journey, we look forward to seeing what he does next. Instagram: archies_veg_and_eggs Facebook: Archie's Veg & Eggs
