The festive season is here, and the tea rooms are feeling wonderfully Christmassy! With twinkling lights, seasonal décor, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed tea, there’s no better time to pop in and enjoy a cosy moment with friends and family.

We’re delighted to share some heart-warming news from this year’s Christmas Fair. After a wonderful weekend of selling our beautiful Nordmann Fir Tiptree Christmas Trees, all grown with care on Tiptree Goldhanger Farm, we found ourselves with a few trees left over. Rather than let them go to waste, we decided to donate them to Colchester Zoo to be used as enrichment for the animals.

Here at Tiptree, we know that dogs are part of the family, and International Dog Day is the perfect moment to give our four-legged friends a little extra fuss. We’re delighted to say that at several of our tea rooms, dogs can enjoy their very own treats from our specially created Doggie Menu.

There’s something so comforting about a warm, fluffy jacket potato, golden on the outside, soft on the inside, and filled with something delicious. And what better day to celebrate this timeless favorite than National Potato Day?

Next Friday marks one of our favorite days of the year National Cream Tea Day and we’re celebrating in true Tiptree style, with scones, jam, clotted cream, and most importantly, a fantastic cause at heart.

At Tiptree Tea Rooms, we believe that kindness is a simple yet powerful way to bring people together. Yesterday, in celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day, we embraced the spirit of generosity across all eight of our tea rooms.

The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Roy Clare, kindly unveiled a Blue Plaque to Alice Lee this week; it is on the wall of the Essex Rose tea house in the centre of Dedham.
