Dani’s Mini Egg Malteser Crunch
Ingredients:
For base:
230g malted milk biscuits
200g milk chocolate
125g maltesers
160g butter
3 tbsp golden syrup
1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
For topping:
300g milk or white chocolate
70g maltesers
100g mini eggs
Square tin – approx. 22cm x 22cm
1- Blitz biscuits until fine crumbs
2- Melt together milk chocolate, butter, syrup and cocoa powder. Set aside to cool for a few minutes.
3- Mix together biscuits and chocolate mixture. Add maltesers, mix and press into tin.
4- Melt milk/white chocolate and allow to cool for a few minutes. Pour on top of base mixture.
5- Scatter maltesers and mini eggs on top – mix of whole and crushed.
6- Set in fridge for 2 hours – allow to come to room temp before cutting to prevent chocolate breaking.
