The Mayor of Witham Cllr Angela Kilmartin visited The Tiptree Barns Tea room to mark the gradual reopening of the hospitality sector following long closures during covid.
Local people had been able to visit the historic site during the lifting of the first covid restrictions so they could enjoy the walled garden, the ancient barns and the countryside but it was some time later that the tea room was allowed to open. Enjoying a cream tea or coffee and cake in the garden proved a huge attraction.
