Suzanne Gratton has been busy ticking off her bucket list prior to her 80th birthday in November.  Last Sunday another challenge was ticked off her list – wing walking with The Wing Walking Company in Kent to raise funds for Parkinsons’ and neurological charities.

“It was frightening but amazing” said Suzanne and asked why she had chosen to support the charities she added, “working in ‘the lock’ Tiptree tea room at Heybridge Basin you see people coming in to enjoy time with friends and to forget their problems; I wanted to make a small contribution to help some of them.”  Suzanne was supported by her family who watched her receive a Certificate to confirm that she had completed the wing walk challenge.

“Suzanne has been working with us at the tea room for 7 years and is a pocket rocket. She is always busy dashing around the tearoom, full of life and also achieving some great adventures outside of work too. I truly hope to be just like Suzanne when I’m her age,” said manager Kelly Enefer.

Suzanne has already raised over £1,000 and is expecting more donations as news of her achievement spreads – her next challenge is playing the ukelele!!
