This month, our Secret Garden Tearoom Marquee was filled with warmth, laughter and a wonderful sense of community as we welcomed local author Emma R McNally for the launch of her inspiring new book, The Wrong Avocado: A gentle guide to easing the emotional journey through cancer.
It was a truly special afternoon, made even more meaningful by Emma’s collaboration with Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust. They raised over £750 to support the trust who help so many affected by breast cancer - a cause close to so many hearts.
Reflecting on the day, Emma shared:
“I was so thrilled to discover the Secret Garden Marquee and that Wilkin & Sons were able to host my book launch. The team were incredible - the service was second to none and the food was fabulous, as always. The team made the whole event so enjoyable and helped it to run like clockwork. It was such an important day and their support was exceptional.”
Emma’s book, which has already reached #1 in three Kindle categories, is available in paperback via Amazon, through bookshops, and as a Kindle edition. Written with honesty and compassion, it offers gentle guidance and comfort for anyone navigating life’s challenges.
We felt honoured that Emma chose to mark such an important milestone with us here in Tiptree, and we are so proud that our Secret Garden provided the setting for a day filled with connection, generosity and hope.
