Tiptree Tasting Evening 

The Tiptree tea room opened its doors for a special Taster Event on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the refurbishment of the tea rooms and to the introduce the summer menu.  The William Morris Strawberry Thief paper on the walls and the fresh cream and green colours gave a fresh modern twist to the traditional tea room that has welcomed visitors for generations.

Many of the “foodie” guests and influencers enjoyed the new flavours that will be in the summer menu, especially the chicken with sundried tomatoes and the Coronation Chicken with Tiptree Mango Chutney.  Cameras snapped and there was a huge buzz of excitement as people spun the wheel for a special treat. 

..... the Mixologist, was very popular as she offered everyone a special cocktail or mocktail  adapted to include Tiptree curds and conserves, plus a little gin or vodka!  Samples of gin, jam and chutneys gave guests an opportunity to taste some different flavours and to take even more photos.

Chris Newenham, managing director who completed the London Marathon on Sunday, welcomed guests and thanked everyone who had brought new life into the tea room through the refurbishment.  Guests left with an abundance of tasty treats.
