The Tiptree Christmas Fayre was a huge success, despite some changes to plans due to the blustery weather. Hundreds of people came to buy a fresh Christmas tree from the farm and to look at the various stalls seeking gifts and ideas for Christmas presents.
Tastings, were a huge success with samples of Tiptree Christmas Rum Liqueur being enjoyed while some people tasted wines, cheese and chocolate.
“We would like to thank visitors and stall holders for braving the weather and visiting our Christmas Fayre at the weekend,” said Nicky Goldsack, tea room operations manager. “Everyone was keen for the Fayre to go ahead so some of the stalls were moved into the warm tea room, next to the Jam Shop. Hot chocolate topped with cream or marshmallows proved very popular.”
The most exciting part of the Fayre for the young children was meeting Santa and his elf in their special grotto, lots of great memories and photos.
