Ingredients:
For the Burger:
- 500g Beef mince
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Burger Assembly:
- 4 Burger buns, buttered
- Lettuce leaves
- 2 Tomatoes, sliced
- 4 slices of hot bacon
- 4 slices of cheese (melted)
- 1 Red onion, thinly sliced
- Tiptree Tomato Ketchup
For the Potato Wedges:
- 4 Large potatoes, cut into wedges
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Mixed herbs
For the Coleslaw:
- 1/2 head of cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 Carrots, grated
- 1/2 Red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Burger:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mince with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 even-sized burger patties.
2. Cook the Patties:
- Preheat a hot plate or frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear the burger patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the seared patties to a baking tray and finish cooking in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes.
3. Make the Potato Wedges:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and mixed herbs.
- Spread the wedges on a baking tray in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
4. Prepare the Coleslaw:
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and chopped red onion. Add in the mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
5. Assemble the Burgers:
- Butter the burger buns and lightly toast them on the hot plate or in the oven.
- On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, tomato slices, a burger patty, hot bacon, melted cheese, and red onion slices.
- Drizzle Tiptree Tomato Ketchup over the top, then add the bun tops.
6. Serve:
- Plate the burgers with a side of crispy potato wedges and a generous helping of homemade coleslaw.
- Enjoy your delicious homemade burger feast!
